Henry qualified as a dentist from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2004. He worked in private practice as a general dentist in Australia for several years before relocating to UK for specialist training. He has held hospital posts in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, as well as Paediatric and Restorative dentistry and gained Membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007. Henry was appointed specialist registrar in Orthodontics at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield and subsequently gained his Intercollegiate Membership in Orthodontics and also registration as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council in 2013.

Henry provides orthodontic treatment to all age groups using modern and efficient clinical techniques. He is experienced with cosmetically feasible orthodontic appliance systems including ceramic braces, lingual braces and clear aligners. He is a certified provider for Invisalign and Incognito appliances.

Outside of work, Henry is a keen musician, and enjoys cooking and playing tennis in his spare time.

Gareth Williams

Gareth is our multi award winning orthodontist. He completed his first degree in dentistry in 2005 at the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, where he won the Magdalen Morgan Scholarship, the JWS Laboratory Award and the Dental Defence Union Audit award.

Gareth qualified from Dentistry in 2005 and undertook his vocational training in Wales, where he won the Eagle award for the presentation of his clinical work. Following this, he worked in a variety of private practices in Australia and Surrey before returning to hospital to train as a senior house officer in the fields of oral and maxillofacial surgery, paediatric dentistry and dental public health. During this training he won the General Professional Training audit award and managed to secure funding from the Welsh Assembly Government for the patenting of a self-designed surgical device. Gareth was also awarded membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of England during this year.

He then joined Liverpool University as a Registrar in 2009 where he completed his second specialist Doctorate degree in Orthodontics. Here he won the Liverpool Orthodontic Shield for the presentation of best treated patients in the Mersey Deanery, a Membership in Orthodontics case prize for the work presented at examination and the Geoffrey Fletcher Scholarship to undertake further research in America. His research in America is on-going with the aim of detecting and correcting facial asymmetry in patients. Gareth has contributed to many national conferences by presenting his doctoral research, and is the author of numerous publications. He regularly lectures in both English and Welsh. More recently, he spent time in Cambodia, lecturing students, dentists and orthodontists

Jen Conner

Jen joined Ipswich Orthodontics in April 2019. Jen qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons London with a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy in 2011. Jen has worked in Specialist Orthodontic practices across Essex and London providing NHS and Private treatment to children and adults. Jen chose to specialise in Orthodontics due to her keen interest in dental & facial aesthetics and the transformation orthodontics can achieve for its patients. She brings many years of experience in traditional and aligner orthodontics.

Sally Dye
Orthodontic Therapist

Sally joined Ipswich Orthodontics in June 2022. Sally qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist in July 2009 and graduated at the Royal College of Surgeons, London, with the Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy.

Sally also gained the Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) and is now also an Orthodontic Therapist examiner at Royal College of Surgeons, London. She was awarded the British Orthodontic Society distinguished service award in 2014.

In her spare time Sally enjoys sports and plays badminton and has found a new passion with pottery. She loves a beach holiday and dreams of one day owning a property on a remote Greek island!!

Shannon Williams

Trainee Orthodontic Therapist

Shannon gained her NEBDN dental nursing qualification in 2012. 

 

Shannon joined Ipswich Orthodontics in April 2015.   She gained her qualification in Dental Radiography in March 2020 and Orthodontic Nursing in Sept 2022.

 

Shannon deservedly gained a place on the Orthodontic Therapy programme at Manchester Dental University in June 2023 and is currently working as a Trainee Orthodontic Therapist under the supervision of Dr Wong at the practice.  

 

Shannon's weekends mainly involve chauffeuring her son to football games. In her spare time, she likes to attend fitness boot camps, to bake and to socialise with friends.
