Orthodontics for Children

Rectangle 8

It is estimated that approximately 50% of all children require orthodontic treatment.

We think the earlier the treatment the better, as we can take advantage of natural growth and change in the mouth, preventing more invasive treatment as an adult. It will also improve the general health and oral hygiene of your child in the long run. For these reasons, we recommend that the best time for an orthodontic assessment is between 10 and 11 years old.

Children under the age of 18 can qualify for NHS treatment if they have been referred by your dentist. Check our NHS Orthodontics page for more information.
