Mr Saymé, Specialist Orthodontist

Mr Saymé was born in Hanover, Germany. After completing high school he joined the Red Cross Rescue Unit before studying dentistry at the Medical University of Hanover. During his studies he participated in a Preceptorship Program at the Orthodontic department of the University of California San Francisco (USA). Also during his studies, Mr Saymé engaged in research on Orthognathic (orthodontic) Jaw Surgery. Mr Saymé received his post-graduate training for the specialization in Orthodontics in Chicago (USA) and in Hamburg (Germany) and was recognized as a Specialist Orthodontist in 2004.

Mr Saymé’s main interests in Orthodontics include interdisciplinary cases and dental cosmetics. He is a member of the General Dental Council, British Orthodontic Society, British Dental Association, World Federation of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontics, BDK (German Federation of Orthodontists), the Suffolk Clinical Network Group and the Suffolk Local Dental Committee.

Mr Saymé’s personal interests include sailing, skiing and enjoying the English countryside.

Henry Wong

Henry qualified as a dentist from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2004. He worked in private practice as a general dentist in Australia for several years before relocating to UK for specialist training. He has held hospital posts in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, as well as Paediatric and Restorative dentistry and gained Membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007. Henry was appointed specialist registrar in Orthodontics at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield and subsequently gained his Intercollegiate Membership in Orthodontics and also registration as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council in 2013.

Henry provides orthodontic treatment to all age groups using modern and efficient clinical techniques. He is experienced with cosmetically feasible orthodontic appliance systems including ceramic braces, lingual braces and clear aligners. He is a certified provider for Invisalign and Incognito appliances.

Outside of work, Henry is a keen musician, and enjoys cooking and playing tennis in his spare time.

Ali Hewett
Orthodontic Therapist

Ali qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh with a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy in 2011. She has been part of our team since 2007 and has worked in dentistry since 1980.

Ali’s interests outside of orthodontics include visiting the theatre, being a member of an amateur dramatic group and she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Jen Conner
Orthodontic Therapist

Jen qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons London with a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy in 2011. Jen has worked in Specialist Orthodontic practices across Essex and London providing NHS and Private treatment to children and adults. Jen chose to specialise in Orthodontics due to her keen interest in dental & facial aesthetics and the transformation orthodontics can achieve for its patients. She brings to Ipswich Orthodontic Centre 8 years of experience in traditional and aligner orthodontics.

Jen’s interests include horse-riding, running and fine dining.

Our Orthodontic Therapists work closely and under the prescription of our Specialist Orthodontists Dr Saymé & Dr Wong. You are likely to see Ali and Jen at various stages during your patient journey.
